    Briana Mariah Lopez was born on February 14, 2002, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to mother Stephanie Lopez and father Andy Walters.

    Andy’s mother, Patricia Walters, and Stephanie’s twin brother, Steven Lopez, shared a mobile home with the family.

    Brianna, Stephanie, and Andy have a son who was only 18 months old in 2002, in addition to the 5-month-old bay.

    Stephanie, her mother, called 911 on July 19, 2002, claiming her 5-month-old daughter was unresponsive. When help arrived, they rushed the infant to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead despite efforts to save her.

    When the autopsy results came out, it revealed the truth about the horrific beating the 5-month-old had endured. The baby died as a result of cerebral injuries, it was revealed.

    The case was ruled a homicide, and all three defendants, mother Stephanie, father Andy, and uncle Steven, were found guilty of the heinous crime.

    According to the autopsy report, the 5-month-old died as a result of cranial cerebral injuries. She also had human bite marks, bruising, and scraping injuries all over her body.

    It was revealed that Brianna, the baby, had been abused by her family for a long time. However, on July 18, the infant’s injuries became too much for her to bear, and she died on July 19.

    On that night, she was repeatedly raped and sexually assaulted, according to the investigation.

    Andy and Steven were found guilty of the crime and sentenced to 50 years in prison by the court. Stephanie was sentenced to 27 years in prison but was granted parole in 2016.
